About the role:

As a Software Engineering Manager at Pompa Program, you will play a pivotal role in leading our talented software engineering team. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive the development of innovative solutions that support our mission to empower individuals to take control of their health. This role demands strong technical expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep commitment to our values and vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
    • Define and maintain software engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes.
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
    • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and priorities.
  • Technical Strategy:
    • Contribute to the overall technical strategy and roadmap for Pompa Program's software solutions, aligning them with our mission and goals.
    • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance our software development capabilities.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure the delivery of high-quality software by implementing robust testing processes and quality assurance measures.
    • Monitor and improve software performance, security, and scalability.
  • Team Development:
    • Identify training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the software engineering team.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to align software development efforts with organizational objectives.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide project updates and gather feedback.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain clear and organized documentation related to software development, including architecture, design decisions, and coding standards.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of proven experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years of successfully leading and managing software development teams.
  • Strong technical proficiency in relevant technologies, languages, and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a startup, collaborative, and mission-driven environment.
  • Passion for health and wellness and alignment with Pompa Program's faith-based mission.

Compensation Range:
Salary $150-$160K USD
